Warrior Leveling Build - Fury

When it comes to levelling a Warrior, Fury is by far the fastest and easiest talent spec to go with. However, if you’d like to be flexible while levelling (e.g. You want to tank instances a lot, or you want to do a lot of PvP in each level bracket) there are several other viable talent build options to go with.

  • Fury – Fury is the fastest spec to power level from 1-70. A lot of people assume that if you’re fury you won’t be able to tank instances, group quests etc. while levelling – quite the opposite is true! From Deadmines and Wailing Caverns right up to Zul’Farrak and Sunken Temple you can often get away with charging in to the fray dual wielding, with some well timed Whirlwinds and Demo Shouts fury can be one of the most effective tanking builds in the early levels. As long as you have a competent healer and a shield to put on for bosses or if your group is having trouble, this method should work just fine for you.
  • Where to spend your talent points as Fury – 5/5 Cruelty -> 5/5 Unbridled Wrath -> 3/3 Blood Craze -> 2/5 Commanding Presence -> 5/5 Dual Wield Specialization -> 2/2 Weapon Mastery -> 5/5 Enrage -> 2/5 Flurry -> 1/1 Sweeping Strikes -> 1/1 Bloodthirst (Note: You can consider spending points in Tactical Mastery under the Prot tree now that you have Bloodthirst if you tank a lot of instances) -> 5/5 Flurry -> 1/3 Precision -> 5/5 Improved Berserker Stance -> 1/1 Rampage -> 3/3 Precision -> 5/5 Commanding Presence -> (Moving on to the Arms tree) 3/3 Improved Heroic Strike -> 5/5 Deflection -> 2/5 Iron Will -> 3/3 Deep Wounds -> 1/1 Anger Management -> Respec to a level 70 build :) See Here..
  • How to play as Fury- In the beginning it will for the most part be a case of white damage (auto attacks) and Heroic Strikes when rage permits. As you learn more attacks and stances things get a bit more exciting! The number one thing to remember is once you have Berserker Stance, you should almost always be using it. This is the “Fury” stance, and as your spell book fills up you’ll start to develop an attack rotation revolving around Bloodthirst and Whirlwind whenever they’re up (not on cooldown) and Heroic Strike when you have enough rage (say, 40 or higher rage). You should be in the habit of keeping Battle Shout and Rampage up at all times. Another important thing to remember is to avoid using Whirlwind around crowd controlled mobs when you’re doing instances, you’re likely to be less than adored by your group if you’re breaking CC. :)
